About the event

Pick the Brain of a School Psychologist: An Insider’s Perspective

Ever wished you could sit down with a school psychologist and ask all your burning questions? This group offers that chance. I’ll share insights from my experience working with students, teams, and parents, breaking down how decisions are made and what happens behind the scenes. We’ll discuss everything from evaluations to accommodations, behavioral supports, and ways to navigate the school system more effectively.

At the heart of these conversations is the recognition that every child has a unique identity and experience within the school system. We’ll talk about how neurodivergent students are perceived by educators, the role of implicit bias, and how parents can advocate in ways that center their child’s strengths and lived experiences. This session isn’t just about logistics—it’s about understanding the human side of education.
